_____________________ I flew with Jeff Moss in Cobra SN 83-23197 on Saturday July 17th at the Dayton Air show. While I've flown in a number of helicopters over the course of time, none of them compared to the ride in the gunner seat of the Cobra! The agility of the Cobra in performing tightly articulated combat maneuvers is a ride like nothing you'll ever get in a commercial helicopter. It was truly the experience of a lifetime and I hope to get to ride with the Sky Soldiers again sometime! Thanks fellas and keep up the good work!
![]() ______________________ John McDougal I just wanted to take a moment and thank the Sky Soldiers for a great display at the Winston Salem Salem Airshow in North Carolina. I took the helicopter ride in the H-model Huey and I was absolutely thrilled with the entire experience. The quality of the equipment was top-notch and the professionalism displayed by the Sky Soldiers members was truly first rate. Even though the rain hit us and the line was long, the Sky Soldiers crews were patient and very informative. I think this organization is fulfilling a very important role in regards to remembering the sacrifices made by our men and women in uniform in all conflicts, especially the Vietnam War. It was truly a heart-wrenching experience to sit in that door gunner's seat and think about the eighteen and nineteen year old soldiers manning those exact same positions forty years ago. My neighbor, Robbie Snow, also took the helo ride and sat beside me. He was also truly impressed by the whole experience. Once again, thanks to everyone and I hope to see the Sky Soldiers at many more airshows._____________________Thank you AAHF Sky Soldiers Aviation Team, for showing us with the VHCMA a great time. You all out did yourself for sure. This was my 2nd time to visit you, but this time it was much different! My wife was standing in line to pay for me a ride on the Huey, but had something different on her mind. Just like a woman, she paid for me to get a ride on the AH-1f and didn't tell me until the last minute. buddy. I also wanted to thank Pilot Bruce Whitley for making sure and helping me out, that my ride would be the best. Thanks so much to everyone that made our day with you all the best yet. We will never forget that day or what you all do to keep the history alive for us all. Welcome Home to all the Veterans with the teams and thanks to everyone else for their service. Have a great day and keep them all flying. Johnny Hubbs,Vietnam with the 229th Avn Bn, 1st Air Cav Div, 1971-1972- SP/4 Door Gunner....... ______________________ Saw you folks in Baraboo Wi. You made a 30 year dream come true for me! Thanks very much! Kelley D. Ellison ______________________Thank you to the guys at cracker fly-in today. I am 52 and all i could think about was the men that i know who sat in the seat where i sat to preserve mine and others freedoms. S. Smith I didn't know of your existence until the annual Joint Services Open House at Andrews AFB this May. I just wanted to let you all know how much I appreciated the Huey Cobra Team's demonstration and how they wowed the crowd. Thanks for your efforts. Your organization truly helps to make us all proud to be Americans! Happy Landings! Ben Hardy My fiance and I have just returned from the 2010 Dayton, OH airshow and would like to thank you for the experience of a lifetime flying in a Huey helicopter. We both agreed that it was one of the most thrilling things we have ever done.
