FLYING PROGRAM ENHANCEMENTS

A.      VIETNAM ERA “AIR CAV TROOP” ACTION – a realistic and powerful portrayal of the use of Army Aviation in a typical “Air Cav Troop” action in Vietnam with a combined arms air assault of combat helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft inserting and supporting an actual infantry assault against an enemy force. LOTS of pyro special effects. 30 minutes in duration. Up to 12 aircraft (helicopters and fixed-wing) performing simultaneously before the audience.

1.        PROGRAM ADDITIONS:

a.        TWO Cobra attack helicopters, acting as a team and performing highly exciting and intricate maneuvers with spectacular pyro special effects. Newly acquired second Cobra helicopter is the ONLY remaining original “G” model Cobra left flying with Vietnam combat service. These are the only civilian registered Cobra helicopters performing on the air show circuit.

b.       Early Vietnam “Hunter-Killer Team” – witness the low flying armed scout helicopter, the Bell OH-13, locate the elusive enemy while protected by the devastating firepower of the armed Huey Gunship with its dual mini-guns and grenade launcher. These are the only two aircraft of their type performing at air shows. The OH-13 performance is limited to within a 300-mile radius of Atlanta.

c.         UH-1H “Huey” helicopters – we are adding the availability of up to two additional Hueys to our infantry air assault part of our Vietnam program bringing our total available Hueys to four (4) based on the air show desires.

2.        AIRCRAFT ADDITIONS:

a.        Up to twelve (12) aircraft available (9 helicopters and 3 fixed-wing) performing before the audience at altitudes from 1000 AGL down to several feet off of the ground. Separate helicopter program available to perform with 700 feet AGL ceilings, 2 miles visibility, and light rain. Great “bad weather” air show back up for air show organizers.

b.       Available Aircraft (Vietnam Program):

                                       i.      Helicopters: 2 AH-1 Cobras, 1 UH-1M Huey Gunship, 1 OH-6 Loach          Scout, 1 OH-13 Armed Scout, 4 UH-1H “troop” Hueys.

                                       ii.      Fixed-Wing Aircraft: 1 OV-1B Mohawk hi-speed armed recon, 1 CV-2B            Caribou air-drop transport, 1 L-19D BirdDog FAC

For the 2003 season introduction of these program additional aircraft, there is no anticipated increase in performance fees outside of aircraft fuel and crew accommodations.

B. HUEY HELICOPTER RIDES – we are the only organization authorized by the F.A.A. to give rides to the public in authentic combat service military Huey helicopters flown by combat veterans. Let your air show audience have this unique experience and see what it feels like to fly in the ICON of helicopters- fully equipped for a Vietnam era air assault. This has been a tremendously popular extra air show offering during our 2002 performances.
