SKY SOLDIERS

A TRIBUTE TO PATRIOTS

Flying Program

OV-1B Mohawk

A recon and rocket run from this formidable aircraft opens our show with lots of action and a big bang! Our Mohawk is the only OV-1B flying.

L-19D/O-1D "Bird Dog"

Our Vietnam-era "Bird Dog" Forward Air Control aircraft is used for controlling our tactical actions, observation, and adjusting artillery fire

OH-6 "Loach"

Watch the tremendous low-level, high-speed maneuvering of our Vietnam combat-experienced Scout helicopter as it searches out the elusive enemy.

Scenario:  "Good Morning, Vietnam!!"  Witness a typical Air Cav day in Vietnam.  Watch our OV-1B Mohawk and "Loach" Scout helicopter search for the "bad guys" under the watchful eye of our deadly "Cobra"  helicopter gunship protectively circling overhead.  Enemy fire sends the Scout breaking away, and the Cobra starts its first of several rocket and gun runs with lots of pyro special effects.  The Scout returns for a RECON report and our Forward Air Control "Bird Dog" airplane appears overhead to call in artillery fire -- more pyro effects.  Our "Huey" helicopters are called in "guns blazing" to insert the infantry.  A ground infantry assault results in the capture of the "bad guys" followed by a Huey medical evacuation.  After a 50-foot, low-level resupply by our combat-experienced "Caribou" transport, the Air Cav Troop departs for another successful mission.

UH-1H "Huey"

Witness our ICON of the Vietnam War, the Huey, perform a combat air assault with guns blazing to deliver its infantry Air Cav troops to take the enemy objective just like these very aircraft did hundreds of times in VietNam.

AH-1 "Cobra" Gunship

Be amazed at the maneuverability

and the "fire power" of the Cobra as it

suppresses the "enemy" during the

unfolding air assault.

UH-1 "Med Evac"

Highly developed during Vietnam, watch

the "angel" of the battlefield swoop in to

quickly retrieve injured soldiers to speed

them to prompt medical attention.

CV-2B Caribou

The Caribou is the largest aircraft ever operated by the Army.

Our Caribou went to Vietnam in July, 1963, and returned tp

the U.S. in 1970.  It is the only know Army combat-experienced

Caribou flying that has been restored to its Army appearance.

Experience the low-level parachute resupply of the Air Cav infantry.
